While installing Adobe Creative Cloud applications on macOS 10.12, you encounter one of the following errors:
- The installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again.
- Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
What exactly are you trying to install? Creative Cloud Desktop App or Creative Suite version like CS6. If the newest CC Deskto App that you got from going to the Adobe website then there is a setting in the system preferences (or there use to be) that only allows you to download and install programs (Apps) from the Mac App Store. Follow the steps you would normally take when patching Adobe Creative Cloud products! I didn't have to disable my internet connection, block connections with Little Snitch, or anything like that. The fact that this worked for me indicates that there might be a discrepancy between the AdobeZii 6.0.1 apps offered by AppNee, AdobeZii, MacDrop. I am trying to install only the Creative Cloud app on Windows, which I run through Parallels on my iMac. I am getting a message saying the installer can't be run from a network drive, and sure enough, when I look in the Windows File Explorer, the location is Network Mac Home Downloads. This is not an office network.
